Krka's prescription pharmaceuticals are, in the great majority, the result of our own knowledge, since these are high quality generic products with added value. On the markets of Central and East Europe they are marketed under our own brand names. Some products, however, are also the result of cooperation with foreign licence partners.

In designing the product range, we monitor with especially close attention those areas, i.e. ailments and diseases, which most frequently afflict people today. Thus we develop new products and supplement the assortment with new forms, particularly in the four key areas: drugs for treating cardiovascular diseases, infections, gastrointestinal and metabolic diseases, and the central nervous system.

The rich range of drugs for treating cardiovascular diseases includes the most up-to-date products from the individual groups. Among the angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, the golden standard still remains enalapril (Enap^®, which is also produced in three different fixed combinations with the diuretics (Enap^® H, Enap^® HL, and Enap^® 20 HL). It has also been joined by one of the most modern representatives of this group, ramipril (Ampril^®). Among the angiotensin II antagonists, we market losartan (Lorista^®) and two combinations with diuretics (Lorista^® H and Lorista^® HD). Among the calcium antagonists, mention must be made of amlodipine (Tenox^®), among the beta-blockers carvedilol (Coryol^®), among the diuretics indapamide (Rawel^®) and among the antiarrhythmics amiodarone (Amiokordin^®). Krka is among the leading European providers of hypolipemics from the group of statins. Our range actually includes three representatives: lovastatin (Holetar^®), simvastatin (Vasilip^®), and atorvastatin (Atoris^®).

In the group of drugs for treating infections, we market numerous products. Two which are highly effective are the macrolide antibiotics clarithromycin (Fromilid^®) and azithromycin (Azibiot^®). We also produce the modern fluoroquinolones ciprofloxacin (Ciprinol^®) and norfloxacin (Nolicin^®), as well as the antimycotics fluconazole (Diflazon^®) and terbinafine (Atifan^®).

In the area of drugs for the treatment of gastrointestinal and metabolic diseases, the key products are the two world leading proton pump inhibitors, omeprazole (Ultop^®) and lansoprazole (Lanzul^®).
The range of the most up-to-date products also includes those for the treatment of diseases of the central nervous system. To our classical products, which we have already been marketing for decades, we have also added the latest from the group of antidepressants: sertraline (Asentra^®) and mirtazapine (Mirzaten^®). Our range of psychopharmaceuticals is augmented by donepezil (Yasnal^®), for treating Alzheimer’s disease, and by the antiepileptic lamotrigine (Triginet^®).

Two important products from the wide range for other indication areas are diclofenac (Naklofen^®) and tramadol (Tadol), which are among the most frequently prescribed analgesics worldwide. From the group of antihistamines we produce cetirizine (Letizen^®).

With our rich range of products, we can alleviate many of the most frequent diseases of our times. Furthermore, with the numerous pharmaceutical forms, concentrations and combinations, we are enabling every doctor to select the most suitable drug for the patient.
