Challenge for the experts

2 min. read

Life challenges us every day and so increases our knowledge and gives us new opportunities. At Krka’s symposium Challenge for the experts, held during the international cardiology meeting Alpe Adria on 3 June in Novo mesto, we put to test the limits of current medical practice in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

Challenge for the experts

About 160 top-level medical doctors and key opinion leaders from 14 countries exchanged their experience and knowledge.

The introduction speech for the participants of the symposium was held by Mr Jože Colarič, the chief executive of Krka, d. d., Novo mesto.

The symposium was designed as a quiz on professional issues and was named Veni, vidi, vici. It was excellently moderated by Professor Marko Noč from Slovenia and Professor Michal Vrablík from the Czech Republic.

Two groups of renowned medical experts coming from 10 European and Asian countries competed in their knowledge. The quiz topics ranged from cardiovascular treatment guidelines to more complex clinical treatment approaches in cardiovascular patients. Each case was a new challenge for the competitors and an appropriate treatment choice its successful completion.

Krka also is constantly confronted with new treatment challenges. At the symposium, participants were given an insight on the whole process of developing a medicine. In the presentation What is behind Krka’s tablets? our experts described the way from the first idea to an effective, safe and high-quality medicine. The key to success are knowledge and innovation. With a desire to come closer to the patients, and to facilitate their treatment, we produce medicines in advanced pharmaceutical forms, such as orodispersible tablets and prolonged-release tablets. By introducing new strengths and fixed-dose combinations we expand treatment possibilities.

Overcoming challenges gives us energy and makes our lives interesting. This time all participants faced them successfully. However, the main purpose of the event was not to win but to challenge ourselves. Only by exchanging opinions and experience and working together we can move beyond current limits and find new treatment options that will improve the lives of patients.
