The Slovene business daily Finance organised the 15th consecutive competition for the best annual report. Krka won the top prize for its 2013 Annual Report in the category of large companies. The expert committee also presented Krka with the top award in the area of risk management, where Krka placed first among all competing companies in 20 13.

The top award for the best 2013 annual report in the category of large companies was received on behalf of Krka by Zvezdana Bajc, a member of the Management Board and director of Accounting and Controlling.

The committee members also pointed out that all data in the annual report were presented clearly. In their opinion the business report and financial statements applied all set requirements also in the area of risk management. Risk management in the Group is clearly presented, which is especially important in the time of quick changes.

Upon the occasion, the Krka’s President of the Management Board and Chief Executive, Jože Colarič, said: “Krka has been striving for excellence in all areas of its operations. The two awards once again prove that we have been successfully pursuing our strategy of business excellence both in business operations and in reporting.”

So far, Krka has received the top prize four times for its annual report. Krka has also won a number of prizes in various expert areas, i.e. four times for its financial statements, twice for business analyses and plans, twice for risk management and last year also for communications.

“We have noticed that information users are ever more demanding and expect reports on operations to be as clear as possible and provide sufficient information. Krka in addition to financial statements and ratios includes in its reports also all the topics it believes might provide a clear insight in company operations for the target audience. In its 2013 report, Krka highlighted efficiency, one of Krka’s essential values. We are constantly looking for good and effective solutions, which might be used by each employee and company as a whole to fulfil set goals,” stated Krka’s President.

The two awards this year, and those awarded to Krka’s annual reports in the past, prove that focusing on constant improvement in reporting by selecting appropriate ratios that clearly present business operations is the right decision.
