Six decades of partnership and trust. 60 seconds – the time to make a decision. 60 years – a decision to take time

Time is a very important dimension in our lives. Time directs us, makes us more experienced, reminds us and changes us. Yesterday, on 17 September a symposium was organised in Cankarjev dom to commemorate the 60 years of the pharmaceutical company Krka from Novo mesto. More than 500 doctors, pharmacists and other experts from all around Slovenia participated. The audience was greeted by the Chief Executive of Krka, d. d., Novo mesto Jože Colarič.

The scientific part of the symposium called Six decades of partnership and trust followed. The event was hosted by Assist. Marko Gričar and Nena Kopčavar Guček, MSc.  Experts from various fields gave lectures, including cardiologists, a gastroenterologist, a psychiatrist, a family doctor and pharmacists.  In their lectures, they didn’t look back but mostly focused on the future. Some discussed the importance of making quick decisions as sometimes there are only a few minutes to decide. Others on the other hand, emphasised that for making many key decisions in our care for people’s health, we actually have a few years.  But, it was mutually agreed that we can only take care of health with successful cooperation that produces results. There is no  partnership without trust. It is the only way to follow common wishes and goals – a higher quality life.

Experience in various therapeutic areas was shared in the completely full Linhart Hall in two parts by  Darja Potočnik Benčič MSc, Ass. Prof. Prim. Danica Rotar Pavlič, Prof. Dr. Rok Accetto, Prof. Dr. Marko Noč, Ass. Dr. Borut Jug, Prof. Dr. Bojan Tepeš, Prim. Gorazd Požlep, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Peter Pregelj and Prof. Dr. Saša Baumgartner.  In the final lecture, Director of Marketing in Krka Elizabeta Suhadolc, MSc presented Krka through time, the company’s path that made it one of the world’s most successful generic companies, as well as challenges related to new products.

The scientific part was followed by a cultural part, which was a success with the audience. At the end, the guests exchanged memories linked to Krka’s 60 years history.
