Unforgettable experience and interpersonal connection

3 min. read

Food packages at Karitas and Red Cross organisations are ready and clothes have been sorted out – Krka employees managed to fill up the stock in all the locations where various necessities and pet food were gathered. We organised social events for the elderly and the wards of various organisations and special education schools. The 7th Krka’s Week of Charity and Volunteering will conclude on Saturday with Krka’s Doors Open Day.

We will host 2,000 people from the University of the Third Age and the employees of humanitarian organisations and retirement homes with which we cooperate, giving them an opportunity to see the production of pharmaceutical products first hand. More than 120 Krka volunteers will take part in Krka’s Doors Open Day.
This year, 19 companies and representative offices of Krka joined the campaign. In Russia Krka employees organised a charity fair.

We performed various volunteering activities on Thursday and Friday. In Ljutomer we held an entertainment programme for the elderly and socialised with the wards of the occupational activity centre by going on walks with them, doing physical exercises together and helping them with their daily chores. Krka’s mixed choir gave a performance in a retirement home in Trebnje. We organised swimming for the children and adolescents from the Malči Belič youth home at Terme Krka in Dolenjske Toplice.

We continued to collect various necessities and donated blood through the Week at several locations across Slovenia. We helped sort out the clothes at the Red Cross organisation in Ljubljana.

Throughout the Week, Krka employees devoted their time, energy and compassion to a good cause. In return they received a host of unforgettable experiences and connected with the people who need our help the most.
