• Business results for the Krka Group and Company for the first nine months of 2008

  Novo mesto, 13.11.08 - The Management Board of the Krka public limited company today held a press conference to present the business results of the Krka Group and the Krka Company for the first nine months of 2008, which were also discussed by the Supervisory Board at its meeting yesterday. Jože Colarič, Krka's Chief Executive and President of the Management Board, assessed the operations of both the Group and the Company as good. Over the first nine months of the year, the Krka Group sold products and services worth EUR 687.9 million (21% growth compared to the comparable period last year) and generated a net profit of EUR 111.2 million (13% growth), while the Krka Company achieved sales worth EUR 604.9 million (22% growth) and a net profit of EUR 117.6 million (30% growth).
  
• Krka Acquired Alternova GmbH from Vienna

  Novo mesto, Vienna, 7 November 2008 - Krka, d. d., Novo mesto (Krka) signed, on 6 November 2008, an agreement with Paranova Group for the acquisition of Alternova Arzneimittel GmbH, Vienna (Alternova AT) in an all-cash transaction valued at EUR 1.3 million.
  
• Krka winner of the „2008 IR Magazine Continental Europe Award"

  Novo mesto, 23 October 2008 - At this year's "IR Magazine Continental Europe Awards" presentation ceremony, held in October in Amsterdam, Krka received the award for the best investor relations in Slovenia.
  
• Krka Prizes awarded to young researchers

  Novo mesto, 17 October 2008 – today the ceremony was held at the Janez Trdina Cultural Centre in Novo mesto to accompany the presentation of 38th Krka Prizes. This year 46 young researchers with 40 research assignments were awarded. Jože Colarič, President of the Management Board and Chief Executive of Krka and Dr Aleš Rotar, Member of the Management Board of Krka and President of the Krka Prizes Fund Council, presented 5 Krka Prizes for special research achievements, 25 Krka Prizes for papers at graduate and post-graduate level, 4 for papers at secondary school level and 6 e-Krka Prizes. Over all these years Krka has presented as many as 2235 awards
  
• Krka opens new chemical development laboratories
  03 October 2008
  Novo mesto, 3 October 2008 - Today, Krka opened new chemical development laboratories, worth EUR 8.5 million. This new acquisition combines the knowledge from the field of synthesis with the knowledge of chemical analyses, required for the development of products from the phase of the theoretical study of chemical synthesis to the transfer of the newly developed technology to the industrial scale. On this occasion, Krka in co-operation with the Municipality of Novo mesto symbolically opened Andrijanič Road, the road running along the company's premises and named after Krka's founder, Mr Boris Andrijanič. They also unveiled a sculpture on the roundabout in the immediate vicinity of Krka.

• Krka receives silver innovation awards from the CCIS

  On Wednesday, 17 September 2008, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (CCIS) conferred awards for the best innovations in Slovenia in 2008. This year Krka received two silver awards.

• Half-year operating results for the Krka Group and Company

  Novo mesto, 30 July 2008 ― The Management Board of the Krka public limited company today at Otočec held a press conference to present the business results of the Krka Group and Krka Company for the first half of 2008, which were also discussed by the Supervisory Board at its meeting yesterday. The Chief Executive and President of the Management Board Jože Colarič announced that the results were good for both the Krka Group and the Krka Company. In the first half of 2008 the Krka Group achieved sales of products and services worth EUR 469.3 million (20% growth compared to the first half of 2007) and generated a net profit of EUR 78.4 million (15% growth). The Krka Company generated a net profit of EUR 81,1 million (28% growth).
  
• Thirteenth Krka Annual General Meeting

  Otočec, 3 July 2008 – The thirteenth Annual General Meeting of the pharmaceutical company Krka d.d., Novo mesto took place today at 13.00 at Hotel Šport in Otočec. The shareholders present represented 35.83% of equity. This year the share dividend was set at € 0.91 gross per share.
  
• Krka becomes co-owner of two Chinese pharmaceutical and chemical companies
  24 June 2008
  Novo mesto, 23 June 2008 – By signing the contracts for increase in capital, Krka, d. d., Novo mesto enters today, as a minority owner, into two private pharmaceutical and chemical companies in China. These are Zhejiang Menovo Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. from the city of Shangju and Anhui Menovo Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. from the city of Guangde. With an investment of USD 794,000 in each company, Krka acquires an ownership share of 7.5% in both companies. The decision has been made in accordance with Krka’s development plans because Krka needs additional chemical synthesis capacities over the long term, said Mr Jože Colarič, President of the Management Board and Chief Executive of Krka, d. d. from Novo mesto.
  
• Krka's contribution to the 16th Annual Meeting of the Alpe Adria Association of Cardiology in Portorož

  Between the 5^th and 7^th of June Portorož hosted the 16^th Annual Meeting of the Alpe Adria Association of Cardiology, organised by the Slovenian Society of Cardiology. This year’s meeting, entitled Cardiovascular medicine: from prevention to intervention, was participated by 500 general physicians and specialists, mainly cardiologists and internists.
  
• Krka records successful first quarter of 2008

  Novo mesto, 15 May 2008 - At a press conference today Jože Colarič, the CEO and President of the Management Board of Krka, d. d., Novo mesto and his fellow Management Board members presented the operating results of the Krka Group and Krka Company for the first quarter of 2008, which were also discussed by the Supervisory Board at a regular meeting held on Wednesday. Over the period, the Krka Group posted sales figures of EUR 244.4 million (20% growth), generating a net profit of EUR 44.0 million. The Krka Company achieved sales worth EUR 210.1 million (15% growth) and a net profit of EUR 41.4 million. The Group's profit was up by 16% compared to the comparable period last year, while the Krka Company's figures represented a 20% growth in profits.
  
• Krka's international symposium on the 20th anniversary of antihypertensives acting on RAAS

  On Friday, 9th May 2008, Grand Hotel Bernardin in Portorož was the venue of the international symposium “Guidelines and Facts in the Treatment of Arterial Hypertension”, jointly organised by Krka, d. d. and the Section for Arterial Hypertension of the Slovenian Medical Society at the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Krka’s antihypertensive medicines acting on RAAS (renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system).

• Krka increases its sales by 19%

  Novo mesto, 3 April 2008 – At a regular meeting yesterday, the Krka Company’s Supervisory Board studied the sales results for the Krka Group and Krka Company for the first quarter of 2008. The Krka Group’s sales during the first quarter of 2008 were up by 19% on the same period last year, while Krka Company sales were up by 15%. The Krka Group achieved sales of products and services worth EUR 243.7 million, while the Krka Company’s sales were worth EUR 210.1 million.
  
• Krka renovates its production capacities in the Ljutomer plant
  22 February 2008
  Ljutomer, 22. February 2008 – Today Krka marked its ten-year investment cycle in the Ljutomer plant with the ceremony accompanying the start-up of a new granulator and the opening of a modern automated dispensing room. The company allocated more than 17 million EUR for renovation, which involved the restructuring of individual production premises, installation of air conditioning in the production rooms and also replacement and final construction of the production equipment. Conceptual preparations for expanding the capacities of the Ljutomer plant are underway. The plant manufactures different self-medication products, like Septolete, Pikovit, Duovit, Evitol, vitamin drinks (Vitanova, IzoMaratonik), granules for oral use (like e.g. Daleron granules) and tablets (e.g. Daleron). In 2007 Krka manufactured 718 million lozenges, 165 million tablets and 7.4 million pellets.

  On the basis of a sociological survey entitled "Regular annual rating of subjects’ impact on the Russian pharmaceutical market, 2007" the company »KRKA« in the Russian Federation was ranked among the leading companies on the Russian pharmaceutical market. »KRKA« is the second of ten most influential foreign companies – manufacturers in the Russian Federation; while the product Enap is ranked first on the rating ladder of the most popular Rx medicaments in Russia. The website »krka.ru« was classified fifth in terms of popularity and penetration into the target group among web pages set up by pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution companies.
  
• Krka business results in 2007

  Novo mesto, 24 January 2008 – The Management Board of Krka today held a press conference to present the non-audited business results of the Krka public limited company (the Krka Company) for the year 2007, which were also discussed by the Supervisory Board’s meeting held yesterday. The President of the Management Board Jože Colarič said that the public limited company generated sales of products and services worth EUR 686.2 million, which is a 17% increase over 2006. On the basis of non-audited financial statements, the Krka Company’s net profit reached the level of EUR 126.5 million, growing 12% over the previous year. The Krka Group sales also grew by 17% and amount to EUR 782.0 million, while the Group’s net profit will not substantially differ from the estimate given at the press conference held in November (EUR 135 million). The non-audited financial statements of the Krka Company and of the Krka Group will be published at the end of February.
