Ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety

Krka’s products and services are known for high quality standards in all parts of the world. The quality of our products and services has been confirmed by various certificates. On 18 December, we received a special recognition award by the Slovenian Institute of Quality and Metrology (SIQ) for our long-standing collaboration in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

Over the years, we have established a quality management system compliant with the requirements of international standards for the production of medicinal products, environmental management, health and safety at work, food safety, information security management and medical devices. As SIQ’s Managing Director Gregor Schoss explained at the award ceremony, Krka was one of the first organisations to be awarded ISO 9001 quality management system certificate by SIQ. With its dedication to quality, it has also successfully maintained it.

Krka’s President of the Management Board and CEO Jože Colarič emphasised that product quality, safety and efficacy, and an effective quality system are key to Krka’s business success. Krka’s long-standing collaboration with SIQ, which started in 1993, is one of the building blocks of our successful quality development. Since the first ISO 9001 certification in 1996, we have obtained certificates for other standards, which, in addition to good practices that are a legislative requirement in the pharmaceutical industry, are part of and improve our uniform quality system.
