• The American Ambassador to Slovenia visited Krka

  Novo mesto, 24 November 2003 – This morning the American Ambassador to Slovenia, Mr. Johnny Young, met with the management of the Slovenian pharmaceutical company Krka. During the visit the Ambassador and Krka’s representatives underlined the importance of economic relations between the countries and expressed their willingness to continue their cooperation also in the future. At this opportunity, Mr. Young visited Krka’s Research and Development Centre, where its innovative generic products are conceived, which thanks to in-house knowledge and local experts, account for approximately two thirds of the entire product assortment.
  
• Russian President Vladimir V. Putin awards decoration to Miloš Kovačič

  Novo mesto, 4 November 2003 - Last week, in the official government journal of the Russian Federation "Rossiyskaya Gazeta" it was announced that the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir V. Putin had awarded a decoration to Miloš Kovačič, President of the Management Board and Chief Executive of Krka, for his achievements in strengthening economic and friendly links between the Russian Federation and Slovenia. The Order of Friendship, as the decoration is known, is a mark of recognition for economic activity accorded to Miloš Kovačič, and at the same time an honour for Krka and all those employed in the company, and also for Slovenia.
  
• Krka rewards and appreciates knowledge

  Novo mesto, 24 October 2003 - Today the ceremony of presenting 33 Krka Prizes was held in the Janez Trdina Cultural Centre in Novo mesto. This year 95 young researchers were presented the awards, whereas during the 33-year period Krka has awarded 1932 young people.

  Novo mesto, 23 October 2003 – Today the 13 International Symposium is held in the Janez Trdina Cultural Centre, organized by Krka within the scope of 33 Krka Prizes.
  
• Krka opened a factory in Šentjernej
  17 October 2003
  Šentjernej, 17 October 2003 - Today Krka officially opened a new factory for the production of drugs in solid dosage forms. The new plant is located about 20 km from the central location in Novo mesto (Slovenia). This important achievement for Krka will help increase the flexibility of production processes. The actual value of investment is 20 million Euros. The Slovene Minister for European Affairs Dr. Janez Potočnik was also among the guests at the opening ceremony of the plant that will employ about 70 people.
  
• Krka opened a new plant in the Russian Federation

  Moscow, 30 September 2003 - Today the international pharmaceutical company Krka from Slovenia officially opened a new modern pharmaceutical factory in Russia, in the industrial zone of the town of Istra in northwest Moscow.
  
• 2002 Business Performance

  Novo mesto, 21 February 2003 - The pharmaceutical company Krka continues with effective business performance. Last year Krka's total sales of products and services amounted to SIT 77.8 billion, which represents an increase of 10 percent over the previous year. In 2002 the net earnings amounted to SIT 10.5 billion representing a 15 percent increase compared with 2001. Furthermore EBIT in 2002 amounted to SIT 14.2 billion representing a 38 percent increase compared with previous year.
