Who's who in Krka
David Bratož (born 1976 in Novo mesto) finished secondary education at Gimnazija Novo mesto, and graduated in 2000 from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Ljubljana, specialising in finance.
Bratož began his career at Krka in 2001 in the department of Finance, where he managed several major projects. In 2003, he began working in Sales, Region Central Europe, and was primarily in charge of the Polish market. Owing to his good performance, he was appointed Director of Krka - Polska in 2007, where he managed operations of marketing, sales, production, and distribution. Two years later, he was appointed President of the Board of Directors.
Bratož and his team worked together to make Krka - Polska one of the largest and most successful Krka subsidiaries. During his office in Poland, product sales and production volume doubled, winning him and Krka - Polska many awards.
He has detailed knowledge of all business functions of a large enterprise. Following the 2015 proposal by Colarič, the Supervisory Board appointed him to the Management Board for his first term of office from 2016 to 2021. He contributed essentially to the renewal of our development strategy and was also responsible for managing finance, economics of international and domestic business operations, Krka Group controlling, business intelligence, and development of business informatics. He instigated implementation of business compliance, corporate integrity, and personal data protection in the company. During his term of office, Krka accelerated digitalisation and use of cloud technologies, and upgraded information security. He leads the expert group for upgrading sustainable management (ESG) in the company. [Navedba o članu, odgovornem za trajnostne vidike GRI 102-18] As a member of the Management Board, Bratož cooperates closely with the Works Council and the two trade unions and is also responsible for issues related to employee recreation, meals during worktime, housing issues, and Krka’s societies.
Following the 2021 proposal by Colarič, the Supervisory Board unanimously appointed him a member of the Management Board for another six-year term of office commencing on 1 January 2022.
