The most common symptoms of Parkinson’s disease are tremor, rigidity, slow movements, impaired balance … And even though this disease has been around for a while, patients are still often stigmatized, isolated and consequently feel lonely.

Can you imagine not being able to bring a full spoon of soup to your mouth or drink soda from a can?

On 11 April we observe World Parkinson’s Day.

Krka is a strong believer in the activities connected with this campaign – we believe it helps raise awareness about Parkinson’s disease and reduce stigmatization, which in turn leads to a better treatment outcome.

An estimated 1.2 million Europeans suffer from Parkinson’s disease, in Slovenia more than 7,000. Krka’s anti-parkinson agents are effective and safe medicines for treating this disease. Even though Parkinson’s disease cannot be cured, we can significantly improve its symptoms.
