Employees – our strong roots and solid foundation

The traditional Krka Awards Day is Krka’s most prestigious event, demonstrating that Krka employees all over the world, regardless of the language they speak or the country they live in, share a common mission and values. Every year it reminds us of just how important Krka employees are, since it is them that help build company culture with their skills, commitment, dedication and passion, as well as fulfil company goals. This year’s event was particularly special due to Krka’s 70th anniversary. The central ceremony held at Otočec celebrated the Krka employees whose loyalty, dedication, inventiveness and achievements significantly contributed to Krka’s success story. Plaques were given to workers celebrating their work anniversaries, best employees and best managers.

Krka’s CEO and President of the Management Board Jože Colarič thanked the employees for their contribution to Krka’s development: “Krka’s 70 doesn’t refer just to the years. It represents our strong roots, our solid foundation. For everything we are and where we are going. They are the foundation for today and for tomorrow. I find all of you important, you who work in research and development, you who work for new products and technologies and for obtaining marketing authorisations. It is with you and because of you that we can ensure a wide range of established products, to complement it with new products and enter new therapeutic areas. You are important, you who ensure the availability of Krka products, their high quality, sufficient supply and accessibility.Krka’s great advantage is also our established marketing-sales network. The same goes for the entire supply chain, engineering with technical services, information technology, corporate performance management, finance, human resources and all other departments at Krka that make sure our operations run smoothly. Let us also not forget about our employees from Terme Krka, who make sure our guests feel as comfortable as they can. All of you allow our mission to go around the world and then return back home – in the form of good business relations and results.“ Mr Colarič thanked the award recipients at this year’s event at Otočec.

637 employees celebrate their work anniversaries

Krka’s workforce is increasing steadily. Nearly 13,000 employees represent the heart and soul of our company, working in 51 companies and representative offices abroad. Generations of inventive and creative employees have fuelled Krka’s growth throughout its 70 years of existence, turning the company into one of the largest and most successful generic pharmaceutical companies in the world. Krka employees have written a success story with their vision, passion and commitment, and this continues to guide and inspire all of us.

This year, 637 Krka Group employees are celebrating their work anniversaries of whom 293 have worked at Krka for 10, 114 for 20, 101 for 30, 48 for 35, and 81 for 40 years. In addition to employees from Slovenia, employees from Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, North Macedonia, Slovakia, Serbia, Spain, North Macedonia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan were also presented with commemorative plaques.

Best employees and managers

Employee loyalty and positive atmosphere are further encouraged with annual best employee and best manager selections – these are aimed at rewarding those exceptional employees that are a source of inspiration to others. The call for applications published in March drew 763 proposals – 598 for best employees and 165 for best managers. Various committees then selected 51 best employees and 18 best managers at the level of each organisational unit, and 10 best employees and 5 best managers at the Krka Group level.

The 2023 Marketing Award winners are also in the selection for best employees and best managers, involving 2 best marketing managers, 1 best area manager, 1 best internal trainer, 6 best brand managers, 7 best district managers, 1 best marketing analysis associate, 3 best key partner associates and 50 best medical representatives. Awards and recognitions are also given to 5 employees who excelled in the field of regulatory affairs.

Awards for best managers and best employees as well as marketing awards and recognitions in the field of regulatory affairs were conferred to employees from companies and representative offices abroad as well. This only further strengthens Krka’s international focus and the growth of our global business network.
