Days and years go by so fast that sometimes we feel like we cannot keep track of them. That is why we treasure our memories so much – they are records of the most important moments of our lives, they enrich our lives and help us through hard times. We can recollect most precious moments from the past at any time and relive the joy they brought us. But, is this true for all of us?
Memory disorder is one of the first and most noticeable symptoms in patients with Alzheimer’s disease. As the disease slowly progresses, patients become more and more dependent on the help of their caregivers and cannot continue to live independently. While there is no cure for Alzheimer’s disease, currently available medications can slow down its progression and improve the quality of life for patients and their caregivers.
Today is World Alzheimer’s Day. Krka is joining the international campaign of raising awareness about this disease. We would also like to encourage you, our readers, to never stop making your own collage of wonderful memories!
