TAD Pharma was founded as a veterinary specialist (TAD = Tier-Arznei-Dienst) in 1968 in Cuxhaven, where the Elbe river flows into the North Sea. In the second year of existence, TAD started with human generic pharmaceuticals and gained a positive reputation in urology. Over the years, TAD has become a relevant player in the German generic business with a diversified network covering different target groups. 

In 2007, TAD Pharma became a member of the Krka Group, and a rapid ascent into the TOP 10 of the generic companies in Germany began. TAD sells more than 100 different molecules in various indications, mainly cardiology, pain, oncology, HIV, neurology, psychiatry, urology and veterinary products. TAD has a strong presence in the German market. Additionally, it is involved in developing the network and exporting its products to six foreign markets. Today, it has close to 300 employees, the majority of which work in marketing and sales, quality management, production, logistics and regulatory affairs.
