ESG Policy

The ESG Policy is a strategic document on ESG governance of the Krka Group’s strategic document on ESG governance of our environmental (E), social (S), and corporate governance (G) aspects. It stipulates the fundamental principles and efforts invested into setting up sustainable operations, which we pursue in our business and relations with different stakeholder groups throughout the entire value chain and whose interests we take into account when making business decisions.

Combining our business model with Krka Group’s strategy allows us to identify our impacts, sustainability risks and opportunities more efficiently, and manage them strategically, throughout the entire value chain.

Our ESG Policy’s sustainable commitments are further strengthened by other corporate governance documents.

Material sustainability topics

Our primary care is intended for the patients, whom we provide with an uninterrupted supply of high-quality, safe, effective and affordable generic medicines. The needs of our stakeholders and the social environment are addressed through regular and proactive dialogue.

The impacts, risks and opportunities of the Krka Group are identified within six material sustainability topic groups, which shape our long-term strategic potential for achieving business goals.

We strive to fulfil the United Nations’ sustainability goals and enhance the positive impact of Krka Group on the environment and stakeholders. We act in line with the goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Our core business significantly contributes to Goal No. 3 – “Good health and well-being”. With preventive measures and treatment, we aim to help reduce cases of premature death due to infectious diseases, as well as promote mental health and well-being.
