RADIATION BURDENS IN IDENTIFIED SOURCES ARE BELOW STATUTORY THRESHOLDS

Electromagnetic radiation is a natural phenomenon and is universally present in our living environment. However, extended electricity power grids and appliances also emit high-level electromagnetic radiation, which has been demonstrated to have a damaging effect on living organisms.

Generally, natural electromagnetic fields are not strong enough to cause any damage to health.

We adhere to relevant legislation and carry out statutory metering. At our central site in Novo mesto we have identified sources of high- and low-frequency electromagnetic radiation. They include base stations for cell phones, signal amplifier systems inside buildings, transformer stations and power sources used in production, and medium-voltage power lines and connections.

The results of metering and monitoring indicate that radiation burdens in identified sources are below statutory thresholds. We also adhere to electromagnetic radiation laws at our other production and business sites in Slovenia even though they do not house base stations for cell phones, which makes them less intensive energy-wise.
