Noise
We minimise noise emissions with suitable equipment, installing equipment in closed rooms, setting up noise barriers, fitting cargo vehicles with electrical cooling units, and moving cargo vehicle docks to the inner areas of production sites.
WE REGULARLY MEASURE NOISE LEVELS
In line with the environmental noise indicator regulation, we measure noise levels every three years and during major changes that could potentially increase noise levels. We implement all necessary measures to ensure that results comply with legal requirements, which is confirmed by our monitoring results at all our sites.
Noise is defined as any disturbing or unpleasant sound that has an adverse impact on human health, well-being or the environment. According to European Environment Agency estimates, 20% of the European population, i.e. more than 100 million people, are exposed to health-damaging noise levels on a long-term basis. The pharmaceutical industry, despite its diverse range of activities, is among minor noise polluters.
