Week of Charity and Volunteering
Krka’s Week of Charity and Volunteering encourages volunteering, charity and mutual help under the slogan Charity is also a part of us. Our employees from Slovenia and other countries where Krka has established its business network take part in it.

Every year the campaign ends in genuine smiles, warm handshakes and goodwill. They inspire us because we know full well that what we do for others is what counts the most.
Krka’s Week of Charity and Volunteering has been running since 2012. We had to cancel it only in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19 restrictions. Over the ten years of the campaign our acts of kindness and the spirit of volunteering have brought us together in more than 10,000 acts of charity. In 2024, almost 1000 Krka employees volunteered to participate in various activities. New volunteers join our cause every year.

Our acts of charity are an inspiration for our colleagues from our subsidiaries and representative offices abroad, in particular Germany, Serbia, Turkmenistan, Spain, North Macedonia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Ukraine, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mongolia, Finland, Armenia, Bulgaria, the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, Romania, Italy, India, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Kosovo, and Croatia.
Since 2012 Krka employees have donated 1,175 litres of blood and collected 34,2 tonnes of clothes, food, books, toys, personal hygiene products and other necessities during Krka’s Week of Charity and Volunteering alone. Hand in hand with various charity organisations they have participated in the preparation of 8995 food packages to be distributed to families and individuals in need. Krka volunteers also visit retirement homes, occupational activity centres and other institutions, where they keep the residents company, help them, and join forces with them at various workshops. Every year we do something good for abandoned animals. Since the start of the campaign, we have collected 4.6 tonnes of pet food and donated it to animal shelters.
