Legal notices applicable to Krka’s events for External public

IN-PERSON EVENTS

PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION 

Krka, d. d., Novo mesto, Šmarješka cesta 6, 8501 Novo mesto, Slovenia processes your personal data for the following purposes: to complete your registration for this event, to arrange for the transport to and from the venue, to book your accommodation during the event if you are travelling to the venue and staying in a hotel there, to keep you informed about the event, and for tax purposes. The legal basis for the above-mentioned data processing is your personal consent (if you applied to the event through the website or were invited by Krka’s representative and agreed to participate in the event) and the applicable tax legislation, when relevant. Krka, d. d., Novo mesto stores your personal data in the EventApp on its servers in Slovenia; Meetpoint, d.o.o. is a company in Slovenia that provides the application for the organization of this event and will have access to your personal data only in cases where it provides technical support. Your personal data will be stored in the EventApp for no longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, after which it will be anonymized.

PHOTOGRAPHING AND/OR RECORDING

The event is being photographed and/or recorded for the purpose of documenting and archiving as well as submitting photographs or videos to participants, making announcements in Krka’s internal media, informing the public in the external media and on social networks.

Your presence at the event means that you agree with the publication of photographs and recordings in printed and electronic media. If you do not want to be photographed and/or recorded, you should notify Krka before the start of the event and follow the instructions. You can read more about Krka as a personal data controller, your rights and Krka’s policy on personal data protection on www.krka.biz/en (or your local Krka website).

Recording and/or taking photographs is not allowed. Please note that a written approval must be obtained from Public Relations (public.relations@krka.biz) for the publication in printed or digital media for advertising, private or other purposes, of any photographs, videos and/or sound recordings made at Krka premises, and for any texts in which Krka and/or its employees are mentioned.

LIABILITY STATEMENTS

The organiser or the hotel shall not take responsibility for any theft, loss or damage to personal belongings, so we advise you to keep your money and valuables with you at all times or safely stored in your hotel room safe.

Any equipment owned by Krka that you use should be handled with care and due diligence. In the event of defects, destruction, loss or theft resulting from careless and negligent behaviour, you shall cover part of repair costs or costs of purchase of new equipment. This is specified in detail in the Instructions for establishing personal liability when handling equipment owned by Krka, d. d., Novo mesto.

ON-LINE EVENTS

ATTENDANCE

This is an invite-only event. Invitations may not be forwarded to other persons by the attendees themselves. If you received the invitation and would like to extend it to other persons, you are invited to send the suggestion for additional attendees to the designated contact person. Krka reserves the right to decline the attendance of any attendee not on the invite list.

DISCLAIMER

At the time of the event, Krka shall provide the most recent and verified information available, however the content and/or delivery of the event can change beyond the control of Krka. Krka will not assume any responsibility for errors, omissions and changes to the programme or content of the online event and cannot control all content published or disseminated at the event. Krka is not liable for the communication of attendees during the online event. Attendees shall use the information provided during the course of the online event at their own risk.

Although Krka will do its best to provide appropriate content, Krka cannot control all content published or disseminated at the event. You may find the communication, graphics, audio files or other information provided by other attendees inappropriate, offensive, harmful, inaccurate, dishonest, misleading and/or deceptive, however you alone are solely responsible for your interaction with other attendees. Krka, its directors, employees, agents and affiliates shall not be liable for any damages arising out of or referable to the online event or information presented at the online event.

RECORDING

This is an interactive online event, which will be recorded for future educational and professional use, and for archival purposes. By joining the online event and actively participating in it, you give permission to Krka for recording it. Krka is thereby granted the right to record your video and/or audio stream, and to use your recording in the video of the online event or in any edited version thereof (short film/webinar), and to publish it on Krka’s website accessible to the general public or healthcare professionals only or Krka employees only, whichever is applicable. 

We would also like to inform you that the online event will be recorded by Krka, d. d., Novo mesto, or a company hired by Krka for this purpose. The recording will be published for a limited time period. You can access the recording, request to correct the part of the recording relating to you, request the deletion of the recording, request that the processing of the recording is restricted, object to the processing of the recording, and request that your data relating to the recording are transferred elsewhere. You can withdraw your consent, and if you believe the processing is illegal, file a complaint with the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia. You may exercise your rights by contacting Krka’s data protection officer at dataprotection.officer@krka.biz.

Krka owns copyright and other industrial property rights in the recording. By participating in the event, you hereby release Krka from any infringement or violation of personal and/or property rights and/or disclosure of a business secret through the use of the recording.
