To keep your heart strong and healthy, you need to make just a few simple changes in your daily life: eat a healthy diet, exercise regularly and sufficiently, avoid smoking and stress, and check your health regularly. It is important to know your risk factors for cardiovascular diseases, mainly high blood pressure, cholesterol and sugar levels as well as your body mass index. To keep your heart healthy you also need to follow your doctor’s instructions. Take the prescribed medicines regularly, since only in this way will they be effective and prevent cardiovascular complications.
